Ecuador 22 days (Mountain- Amazon- Galapagos)

Activity: Arrival in Quito and transfer to the Mercure Hotel or similar.

Description: Upon arrival at the Mariscal Sucre International Airport, you will be greeted by our guide, who will take you to the Mercure Hotel. During the journey, you will be able to enjoy the views of the city and the majestic Andes mountain range. Once at the hotel, you will have time to rest and prepare for the adventures to come.

Activity: Quito Historic Center Tour and Visit to the Middle of the World.

Description: After breakfast, you will begin your exploration of Quito's Historic Center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will visit Independence Square, the Cathedral, and the Church of San Francisco. Then, you will head to the Middle of the World, where you can experience being in both hemispheres at the same time. The journey offers panoramic views of the city, and at the end of the day, you will return to the Mercure Hotel to rest.

Activity: Climbing the Rucu Pichincha Volcano.

Description: You will start the day early with a light breakfast before embarking on an exciting climb to the Rucu Pichincha Volcano. Using the cable car, you will reach an altitude of approximately 4,100 meters, where you will begin the hike to the top. The views from the top are impressive, offering you a panoramic view of Quito and its surroundings. After enjoying the scenery, you will descend and return to the Mercure Hotel to rest before continuing your adventures.

Activity: Visit to the Pasochoa Wildlife Refuge.

Description: After breakfast, you will head to the Pasochoa Wildlife Refuge, an ideal place for nature lovers. This refuge is home to a diversity of flora and fauna, and offers hiking trails that will allow you to explore its natural beauty. During the tour, you will be able to observe birds, endemic plants and, if you are lucky, some wild animals. At the end of your visit, you will return to the Molino de Café Cabañas Lodge Hotel to rest.

Activity: Beginning of the ascent to the Cayambe volcano.

Description: After an early breakfast, you will begin your expedition to the Cayambe volcano. This is the third highest volcano in Ecuador, and is famous for its glacier. During the ascent, you will enjoy an impressive landscape that includes valleys, moors, and Andean biodiversity. Your guide will provide you with information about the geography and history of the place. At the end of the day, you will stay at the Ruales Oleas Refuge or similar, where you can rest and prepare for the next day of ascent.

Activity: Continuation of the ascent to the Cayambe volcano.

Description: You will wake up early in the morning and begin the final ascent to the peak of Cayambe, where the views are simply spectacular. The experience of being on top of a volcano is indescribable, and the effort is worth it for the panoramic view that is offered. After conquering the summit, you will descend and stay at the Inn in Zuleta, where you can relax your tired muscles.

Activity: Hike around Zuleta and visit Angochagua.

Description: After enjoying a delicious breakfast, you will embark on a trip to Angochagua, where you can enjoy the local culture and learn more about the indigenous community. This area is famous for its cheese production and the embroidery of traditional clothing. During the hike, you will appreciate the natural beauty of the Andean environment. At the end, you will return to the Inn in Zuleta for dinner and rest.

Activity: Ascent to the Imbabura Volcano.

Description: After a nutritious breakfast, you will begin your adventure towards the Imbabura Volcano, known for its almost perfect shape and spectacular landscapes. The ascent will allow you to enjoy views of lagoons and mountains surrounding the volcano, making this experience a delight for photography lovers. Upon reaching the top, you will be rewarded with panoramic views that you will not forget. You will return to Hacienda San Isidro to rest.

Activity: Visit to Cuicocha Lagoon and return to Quito.

Description: After breakfast, you will depart for Cuicocha Lagoon, a beautiful crater lake located at the base of the Cotacachi volcano. Here you will have the opportunity to go trekking around the lake, where you can observe the local flora and fauna. The tranquility and the landscape are ideal for enjoying nature. Afterwards, you will return to Quito and stay again at the Mercure Hotel to rest.

Activity: Ascent to Cotopaxi Volcano.

Description: After breakfast, you will head to Cotopaxi National Park, where you will begin the ascent to the famous volcano. This is one of the highest volcanoes in the world and is covered by a glacier. During the ascent, you will marvel at the diversity of landscapes and flora you will find. At the end of the day, you will stay at the José Rivas Refuge, where you can rest and prepare for the next day.

Activity: Continuation of the ascent to the Cotopaxi volcano.

Description: At dawn you will begin the final ascent to the summit of Cotopaxi. The experience of being at the top is unique and will give you an incomparable feeling of achievement. In addition, you will be able to enjoy views that range from the Andes to the Amazon. After the summit, you will descend and stay at the Chukirawa Hotel to rest.

Activity: Visit to the Quilotoa Lagoon.

Description: After breakfast, you will depart for the impressive Quilotoa Lagoon, a volcanic crater that houses a turquoise lake. You will be able to take a walk around the crater, enjoying the view and the natural beauty of the place. The experience is ideal for photography and nature lovers. At the end of the day, you will stay at the Abraspungo Inn.

Activity: Ascent to Chimborazo Volcano.

Description: After a nutritious breakfast, you will head towards the Chimborazo Volcano, the highest point in Ecuador. The climb is challenging, but the views and scenery make up for it. During the climb, you will have the opportunity to observe the unique flora and fauna of the region. At the end of the day, you will rest at the Chimborazo Lodge.

Activity: Continuation of the ascent to the Chimborazo volcano.

Description: At dawn you will begin the final ascent to Chimborazo. The experience is unforgettable, and reaching the summit will provide you with an incomparable feeling of achievement. The views from the top are simply breathtaking, and you will be able to take photographs that capture the majesty of the Andes. After an exhausting day, you will stay at the Hotel Chimenea.

Activity: Trip to Baños.

Description: After a relaxed breakfast, you will prepare for the trip to Baños, known for its hot springs and beautiful landscapes. During the trip, you will be able to enjoy the views of the Andean landscape. Upon arrival in Baños, you will have free time to explore the area or enjoy the famous hot springs. Afterwards, you will return to Quito and stay at the Mercure Hotel to rest and pack your bags for the next adventure.

This day we will travel to the different connection sites with the chosen itinerary (Cuyabeno Reserve / Galapagos Tour) 

Cuyabeno

After traveling by bus to the Cuyabeno bridge, (Check in 11:00 pm) our guide will be waiting to pick you up and board the canoes that will take us to our camp "Cuyabeno River Lodge". After lunch, we will take the adaptation walk along the "Sendero de los Ceibos" for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. At night, we will have a talk for the activities of the next day.

Galapagos

We will go to the Quito airport to take the flight to Galapagos and take an afternoon to check in to the park, as well as to the hotel, lunch and dinner will be in Galapagos

Cuyabeno

Breakfast at 08:00 AM. Then we will enter the primary forest where our guides will give us talks and transmit their ancestral knowledge of medicinal plants and the fauna existing in the forest, here we will find the footprints of the Tapir, Paca, Armadillo, Puma etc. This walk can take us approximately 4 to 5 hours and we will have lunch.

In the evening, after dinner, we will take a night walk to see nocturnal animals, such as spiders, toads and snakes, we will also turn off our flashlights to listen to the sounds of the jungle. This walk lasts about 40 minutes.

Galapagos

Departure to the Enchanted Islands of the Galapagos, reception by our guides from the National Park, after our accommodation, rest at the hotel and lunch. In the afternoon we will visit the Upper Part, which includes a Private Ranch, where you will find "giant tortoises" in their natural habitat. Then you will return to the hotel, have the afternoon free and then dinner.

Cuyabeno

Breakfast at 07:30 am. Then, we will go out in the canoe, towards the Lagunas complex with an impressive tour, observing during the trip, different species of animals and birds such as Monkeys, Hoatzins, Herons, River Ducks, Kingfisher, etc. We will go down the river to visit the Siona Community. On this visit we will be able to learn how they live and what they do on a normal day, then we will go as a family to prepare YUCA BREAD or CASABE in a traditional way (You can camp in the lagoon - optional activity). On the way back in the afternoon we will take a refreshing swim in the very center of the lagoon and watch the sunset. At the appropriate time our guide will propose the return to the community to go camping and have dinner.

Galapagos

Breakfast at 9:00 am, then we will go out to visit the beautiful Tortuga Bay Beach, named after the nesting of the black turtle. This beach is characterized by its landscape, it is ideal for observing wildlife, mainly sea lions, flamingos, iguanas, and some other species, we will see these species during the tour.

You will visit the Charles Darwin Research Station, which is operated by the Charles Darwin Foundation, where you will visit the exhibits of turtles and land iguanas. It is in charge of captive breeding programs and research on land iguana species and ten of the fifteen subspecies of giant tortoises still alive.

Cuyabeno

After breakfast we will continue with a unique experience in the Cuyabeno Reserve, sailing in a paddle canoe through its lush rivers and lagoons. This tour will allow you to enter one of the richest biodiversity ecosystems in the world, where you can observe exotic birds, monkeys and a variety of tropical flora. Guided by local experts, you will learn about the importance of conservation and indigenous culture. The tranquility of the environment and the sound of nature will offer you moments of connection

Galapagos

Start with breakfast at the hotel and a short walk to the dock. We will embark for 45 minutes, where you can see penguins and manta rays. We will snorkel in the protected bay and visit Las Palmas beach. After lunch, you can snorkel from the beach. Dinner at the hotel.

Visit to Isabela Island: Upon arrival, you will explore "Los Humedales", a trail with mangroves and lagoons, where flamingos and coastal birds can be observed. Then, you will visit the "Giant Turtle Breeding Center" and "Las Tintoreras." Snorkel in Concha de Perla to see penguins and turtles. Dinner at the hotel.

Tour to Santa Fe Island: We will sail through a turquoise bay surrounded by cacti and mangroves, where we will see sea lions and exclusive flora. 

Cuyabeno

After breakfast we will continue with our expedition in the primary forest of the Cuyabeno Reserve in the middle of the world in Laguna Grande, we will return to the lodge for lunch, in the afternoon we will do the activity of sailing upriver until we observe animals. Dinner and accommodation at the lodge.

Galapagos

In the morning after breakfast at the hotel we will embark on an exciting adventure through the impressive waters of Santa Cruz Bay, one of the most emblematic destinations of the Galapagos archipelago. This tour will take you to explore the rich biodiversity and unique landscapes that characterize this island, combining snorkeling activities, wildlife watching and the possibility of enjoying the natural beauty of the region, then we will have a free afternoon to enjoy Santa Cruz Island

Cuyabeno

Very early in the morning, we will go bird watching (optional activity), we must remember to tell the guide the night before to wake up to be able to do this activity. During this trip, you can see toucans, macaws and parrots. Then we return to the Lodge to have breakfast at 08:00 am, then you can rest and swim in the river while we check out at 11:45 AM, we will go to the Cuyabeno Bridge where we will board the direct bus to Quito.

Galapagos

We will visit the twins, which are fantastic volcanic formations where you can appreciate the lush endemic vegetation of the Island. Free afternoon. Return to the hotel where you made your transfer and assistance to the airport to take your return flight.
