Overview
Antisana is a majestic and mysterious volcano in the Eastern Cordillera, with an altitude of 5758 meters above sea level, which is why it is considered the fourth highest mountain in Ecuador.
It is the core of this protected area within which there are eastern Andean moors and forests. Volcanic activity, the passage and retreat of glaciers and evolution have created impressive landscapes and a very diverse fauna in its territory.
Itinerary
Leaving Quito at 9:00 am in our private transportation, we will head south, passing through Machachi and other colorful towns until we reach Ilinizas National Park. Once we arrive, we will go to an altitude of 3,900 meters above sea level, we will get out of our car and begin our walk to the "La Virgen" sector which is located at 4,100 meters above sea level; We will have the option of camping here or sleeping in the refuge, located at 4,600 meters above sea level and the walk to the refuge will take approximately 3 hours. Once we arrive at our desired destination, we will have lunch and settle in to carry out our acclimatization activities; We will have dinner and rest for the night. -/L/D.
We will get up at 4:00 am, have breakfast and begin our ascent at 5:00 am. Once again, we will have a 3-hour walk until we reach the top of Iliniza Norte located at 5,126 meters above sea level. The last part of the ascent will be a little difficult because it is a little steep and rocky, for this reason, we will put on our helmets and harnesses. At the top we will have enough time to have lunch and rest; The descent will be relatively faster and direct, it will take us about 5 hours to reach our vehicle. We will go to our Hostel. B/L/D.
We will get up at 7 a.m. and then we will head towards the base of the Sincholagua volcano. Once there, we will begin the ascent to an intermediate altitude, stopping to perform acclimatization exercises. We will reach a landmark at a moderate altitude and enjoy the panoramic views, continuing our hike until we reach the summit before descending back to the base. At approximately 5:00 PM, we will be back at the base of the volcano, where we will evaluate our acclimatization and enjoy a well-deserved rest before returning to the hotel.

Located on the slopes of the Cotopaxi volcano, we will have several activities to do such as a walk around the Hacienda to observe the llamas, the horses, the flowers, enjoy the landscape, among others. B/L/D.
We will leave the Hacienda around 10:00 am. In our private 4x4 vehicle we headed east to begin our ascent to Antisana. After a 3-hour trip, we will arrive at a campsite to rest until midnight. Then we will have an appetizing lunch, and we will receive a short talk about all the safety precautions and climbing technique that the guides can give us. We will have dinner at 6:00 pm and then go to rest until 12:00 am for the climb. B/L/D.
We will wake up, and we will climb to the top; which is at 5,753 m. It will take us approximately 5 to 6 hours to reach the summit; When we arrive we can enjoy a great view of the Ecuadorian mountains. It will take us about 2 to 3 hours to return to the campsite where we will collect all our equipment and have breakfast then return to our car, and return to Quito. B/L/D.
