Acclimatization and Climbing Cotopaxi 9 Days-8 Nights

08:00 Meeting and departure from the hotel

09:30 Visit the church of San Francisco and walk through the old town passing by the Compañía church, the cathedral, the Plaza Grande and the basilica church.

13:00 Lunch in the old town

14:30 Visit to the Middle of the World monument

15:00 Visit to the Intiñan museum (OPTIONAL)

15:30 Visit the Pululahua (OPTIONAL)

16:00 Return to the Hotel

Breakfast will be served at the hotel and we will go to the Ruco Pichincha volcano to climb to the top, from where we will have a spectacular view of the city of Quito. A boxluch will be served on the way. Finally we will return to the Ikala Hotel or similar.

Pick up at the hotel at 6:00 am. 1 and a half hour trip to the Ilinizas Ecological Reserve. Registration of entry and ascent to the 'La Virgen' parking lot. Brief safety instructions and ascent to the 'Nuevos Horizontes' shelter and then to the summit of Iliniza Norte, enjoying the rock climbing and the landscape. Descent and return to Quito with a stop for lunch. Arrival at the hotel at the end of the day.

Our adventure begins in the morning, leaving Quito at 7 am and heading south for approximately one hour and thirty minutes. The trekking begins at the Limpiopungo Lagoon, following the path that will take us through the moorland to the foothills of the Rumiñahui volcano, whose central peak is at an altitude of 4,643 meters above sea level; where we will greatly enjoy the views while we tour this beautiful place.

Pick up at the hotel at 06:00. 1 hour trip to Pedregal and ascent to the Sincholagua volcano. Safety instructions and 4-hour ascent through grasslands, sandy areas and rock. Enjoy the summit for 30 minutes and sightings of neighboring volcanoes. Initial rappelling descent and final descent of 2.5 hours. Return to the Inn.

We wake up and have breakfast at 9am. We will leave for Cotopaxi National Park and climb up to the refuge center with our equipment. After lunch, we will gear up and take a glacier training course with the guide before having dinner and resting until midnight. B/L/D

Our summit climb will begin at approximately 1:00 am and will take five hours to reach the top. The return climb takes approximately two to three hours. Return to Quito around 11 am. B/-/-

PAPALLACTA: Tour to Papallacta from Quito. Just 2 hours from Quito is the town of Papallacta, famous for its medicinal hot springs, located in the middle of the Andean moor where you can enjoy a day of relaxation amidst the flora and fauna of the sector in the Termas Papallacta spa.

OTAVALO: Tour to Otavalo from Quito. Visit the main tourist attractions of the province of Imbabura where you can visit the largest Indigenous Market in Latin America in Otavalo where you can buy souvenirs.
