Overview
Ecuador offers the ascensionist and climber a large number of interesting mountains. Most of them are of volcanic origin. Many of the summits with heights lower than 5000 m can be climbed from Quito within a day, for those that are further from Quito, 2 days should be calculated. In some of the ascents high mountain equipment is needed, depending on the mountain, but for most mountains it is enough to bring warm and waterproof clothing and boots. All the routes are relatively easy and allow everyone to enjoy the unique landscape of the Andes.
