BARTOLOME: On this island, you can observe lava formations and cinder cones. After climbing a wooden staircase for 30 to 40 minutes (a 114-meter hike to the top of the volcano, with 375 wooden steps), you'll be rewarded with a beautiful, sweeping view of the nearby bays. It is home to one of the largest colonies of sea lions, as well as colorful yellow and red land iguanas. Many birds, such as gulls, rest on the cliffs.
