BARTOLOME: On this island, you can observe lava formations and cinder cones. After climbing a wooden staircase for 30 to 40 minutes (a 114-meter hike to the top of the volcano, with 375 wooden steps), you'll be rewarded with a beautiful, sweeping view of the nearby bays. This is one of the most visited islands, famous for its Pinnacle Rock, an extinct volcano with a variety of volcanic formations in red, orange, black, and green. The weather is ideal for snorkeling, and there's a chance to spot Galapagos penguins. Hiking: 2 km. Dry and wet landings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PLAZAS ISLAND: This small, cliff-lined island was formed from lava and is now covered in Opuntia cacti. It is home to one of the largest colonies of sea lions, as well as colorful yellow and red land iguanas. Many birds, such as gulls, rest on the cliffs. The most distinctive plant is the Sesuvium, which turns from greenish to yellowish during the rainy season and remains a bright red during the dry season (late June to January). Hike: 2.5 km. SANTA FE: You can observe colonies of sea lions, land iguanas, fork-tailed gulls, terns, and petrels. WITCH HILL: This site is located on the north coast of San Crist\u00f3bal Island. It is eroded, and its surroundings boast one of the most picturesque beaches in the Gal\u00e1pagos Islands. Its main attraction is the coral sand beach, and its fauna includes sea turtles, rays, and various types of boobies. Lunch on board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GARDNER BAY: Located on the eastern side of Espa\u00f1ola Island, this is the breeding ground for almost all of the world's 12,000 Galapagos albatross pairs. The boat ride to this site takes 45 minutes. The beach has white sand where a whole group of sea lions rests. Excellent snorkeling opportunities. Wet landing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PUNTA CORMORANT: This site is home to a large lagoon teeming with flamingos and other birds such as white-cheeked lapwings. Olivine crystals on the beach give it the name Playa Verde (Green Beach) due to this mineral. On the other side of the island is a beach of very fine white sand where sea turtles nest from December to May. Hike: 2 km. Wet landing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
CORONA DEL DIABLO (DEVIL'S CROWN): This volcanic crater has been eroded by waves crashing from its north and south sides. Coral formations create a stunning underwater landscape ideal for snorkelers, where schools of multicolored fish, sharks, and sea turtles can be found. No landing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
